Cropping Collinsville’s broad acre cropping program consists of 3,500 hectares in total. This consists of wheat, barley, oats, canola, peas and lupins. Our break down as a percentage in an average year is approximately the following:
Oats is mainly export hay and some is stored for our merino stud requirements. Canola is all sold through the Australia Wheat Board and our peas are sold on the domestic market. This whole program is sown using a D.B.S blow-seeder and Case 425 tractor and the majority of our equipment is equipped with G.P.S and is direct drilled into the ground. Scott James is our Cropping Manager and is in charge of this program. |
