Collinsville's Technology "moving ahead with tomorrow’s technology" Collinsville has been committed to production recording for over a decade. This has been an integral part of stud management and our commitment to embracing new technology has enabled us to make further advances in this area. With the commitment of Margie Whittlesea in the practical use of WoolPak we are now in the process of making full use of the electronic sheep tags which has provided us with the means of collecting, collating and utilizing data more effectively, efficiently and accurately. WoolPak has been used to arm Collinsville staff with the knowledge of these superior animals within the stud and has been used extensively. It has allowed us to not only store and recall data easily, but has provided management with comprehensive reports, including mothering and sire evaluations, along with tools to assist with classing and ram selections. This allows the staff to supply the clients with information about each individual animal that they may wish to purchase.  WoolPak has been instrumental in allowing us to record and collate pedigree information on individual animals, along with their performance data. This has assisted management in the selection of rams for our on property sale and this information will be sent for further analysis and calculation of estimated breeding values to Advanced Breeding Services in NSW. New technology will allow us to continue advancing Collinsville genetics and enables us to provide our clients with the tools to select superior sires suited to their own breeding objectives. |
