Collinsville Merinos

Monarch family - A very dominant and historic Collinsville family primarily founded on the well known sire Monarch 23, a prolific ram noted for his safeness for wool and frame and an amazing ability to be used in all parts of Australia.

Goliath family - This branch of the Collinsville family is best known for its good wools and skins and began with the outstanding sire 316.608 who bred very well over many years.

Regent family - Noted for their frame and plainer bodies the Regent sires also feature a classic Collinsville stud structure and this line has become a very dominant family in our station bred sheep.

Coronation family - Developed from the Monarch family and featuring excellent skins the Coronation sheep are recognised as some of Collinsville's heaviest cutters. Our leading sires 087 and 075 come from this branch of the Collinsville gene pool.

Lustre family - The name tells the story for this family. The quality, well nourished and soft handling wools of the Lustre sheep still feature the expected heavy cutters of Collinsville and are now being directly brought back into the mainstream breeding program.

Olympic family - This family originated from the Lustre line through leading sires Olympic 209 and his superstar son 101 and these rams have bred dominant sheep for all areas of the country and today represent one of Collinsville's leading families.

Reagan family - Collinsville has focused the Reagan family on true medium wool sheep and its rams provide an excellent match over large framed ewes, particularly for the pastoral or tougher country.

Cruden family - This family has been bred by Collinsville specifically, and successfully, for high rainfall areas such as Victoria's western districts and the South-East of SA with a slightly smaller frame and wools at the finer end of the medium spectrum.

Masterbuilt family - Another of our oldest families known for safe frames and an elite type wool, the Masterbuilt line has been rejuvenated through the enormous impact of the highly successful ram 241.

Collinsville Polls

Monarch family - Known for good framed sheep with heavy cutting wools, Collinsville started this family from the legendary Monarch 23 and 215 and like its Merino counterpart is a very dominant family.

Imperial family - Founded on the now defunct Glenroy stud, the leading sire of this family is Imperial 052. Collinsville has bred Imperial rams suited for many areas of Australia and it is expected to increase its already high profile in the stud and the market.

Majestic family - Also out of the Glenroy family, Majestics are known for their good skins with traditional heavy cutting Collinsville fleeces suited for pastoral areas.

Emperor - This family is a hallmark line, throwing huge frames with heavy cutting fleeces and are proven as an excellent cross over good wool, breeding ewes in most woolgrowing areas of Australia.
